Welcome to The Dance Boss Academy!
The Dance Boss Academy was created to help dancers learn how to take care of themselves, emotionally, mentally and physically through deep personal development and mindset work, Yoga, Pilates and Stretching classes and mindful meditation.
The DBA has got everything a dancer needs to thrive inside the industry and out.

We believe in giving dancers the tools that will help them take care of themselves so they can excel at what they do and make their dance career span many decades.
​
It is our mission to help dancers feel confident and empowered to take on the industry and whatever life throws at them with a positive mindset, daily self care habit and an abundance of self belief and self love, so they can achieve their goals and be happy and healthy whilst doing this.
​
We recommend downloading your self study course first (either fill it out online on a desktop/laptop, print it out and put pen to paper, or use a journal to record your thoughts). There are 7 modules inside and you are welcome to go at your own pace, however we have found that one module per week works well as it gives time for reflection but also keeps the momentum going.
​
You can jump into the Yoga, Pilates and Mindful classes throughout the course-they are designed to aid you in your transformational journey and we advise tuning in and feeling into what you need at any given time-trust your instincts!

YOGA FOR BED
​
After a long day of dance, let your mind and body unwind with this relaxing Yoga for bed class that will leave you feeling rested and ready for a good sleep.

YOGA FOR HIPS
​
Yoga for hips is a great accompaniment for any dancer to help lengthen and stretch the muscles around the hip joints and ease any aches and pains.

YOGA WAKE UP
​
Start your day with this Yoga wake up class to feel energised and ready for the day ahead with a positive mind.

YOGA ENERGISER
​
Yoga energiser is great if you're feeling a little deflated or lethargic as it will pick you up and help give you a little boost to help you feel great again.

YOGA FLOW
​
Fully immerse yourself in this Yoga flow, let your thoughts go and become one with the movement. A great class to do when you want to get out of your head and back into your body.​
YOGA FOR BALANCE
​
Create solid core strength for great balance with this class- helpful for developing your turning practice and much more.

PILATES CLASSES
PILATES LATERAL BREATHING
​
Learn how to use your breath properly for Pilates classes with this lateral breathing exercise. Using the breath in this way will drastically change the way you move and help to support you more in each movement.

PILATES BASICS
​
When you want to feel strong but want something simple-this Pilates basics class is just the thing! You will feel great for taking part.
​
PILATES ALIGNMENT
​
One of the biggest things to learn in Pilates is alignment- practicing this will have a big impact on how you feel after every class if you learn to perform the exercises correctly, which is what this mini class teaches you.​
PILATES BOOTY BURN
​
Create glutes of steel with this Pilates booty burn class. This class is all about strengthening your glutes and helping to stabilise and support your body.
​
​PILATES CORE
​
Pilates offers such a great core workout and this class is solely focused on this area, helping you to feel strong within all the deep core muscles, not just the six pack!
​
PILATES FULL BODY
​
The Pilates full body class is great for an overall strength builder, confidence booster and whole body workout. You will feel strong and powerful after this class.​
MINDFUL CLASSES
BE SOFT, BE STILL
MEDITATION
​
Something to start your day with or come back to whenever you need a few minutes of calm. This simple, yet truly effective mindful meditation will give you a little bit of 'me time' every day.
​
BREATH BODY CONNECTION
​
Get in tune with the rhythm of your breath and body and allow yourself to feel connected, grounded and centred with this short but powerful exercise.
​
RELAXATION STRETCH
​
Lengthen, stretch and allow your body and mind to fully relax with this class- a great end of day habit to get into to help you feel calm and rested before sleep.
